Common Questions About Radiesse
How does Radiesse work?
Radiesse is made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres in a gel. It restores volume immediately and stimulates collagen production for long-term results.
How is Radiesse different from Juvederm®?
While Juvederm® Fillers are hyaluronic acid-based and primarily add volume, Radiesse also stimulates collagen, offering firmer structure and longer-lasting effects (12–18 months vs. 6–12 months for Juvederm®).
What areas can Radiesse treat?
Radiesse is effective for midface and cheeks, deep folds (nasolabial, marionette lines), jawline contouring, chin definition, and hand rejuvenation. It may also complement neuromodulator treatments for Forehead Lines, Glabella, and Neck Bands.
How long do results last?
Most patients enjoy results for 12–18 months, longer than many traditional fillers.
Is Radiesse safe?
Yes. Radiesse is FDA- and Health Canada-approved and has been widely studied for safety and effectiveness.
When will I see results?
Immediate volume restoration is visible right after treatment. Over time, collagen stimulation further enhances results.
What is the recovery like?
Most patients return to daily activities right away. Minor swelling or bruising may occur but typically resolves within a few days.
Who is a good candidate for Radiesse?
Adults seeking facial or hand rejuvenation with longer-lasting results, or those looking for an alternative to Juvederm®, are often good candidates.
